PMP

We have started our PMP (Perceptual Motor Programme) this week.

We are developing a wide range of movement skills including -
balance, locomotion, co-ordination and general fitness.
Children rotate around each activity every day.

These activities are run with our wonderful parent support.
Thank you parents.

Autumn is here!

Autumn leaves

We went on an autumn leaf walk around the school.
We saw different kinds of leaves everywhere.

We went back to the classroom with our leaves and tried to do some leaf rubbings with crayon.  We could see the stem and the veins on the leaf rubbing.

Life Education Caravan

A visit to the Life Education Caravan

On Thursday Ruma Piwakawaka had their first of three visits to the Life Education Caravan with Harold and Nicky.

Our learning focus is Social Relationships.  In our first visit we talked about how we have different feelings, what they look like, and what we can do to cope with that feeling.

For example, we talked about what makes us a feel angry.  Nicky said once we have calmed down we can talk to someone about it so that the problem gets smaller or disappears.

Harold came up to talk to us too.  We liked Harold.

We are looking forward to our next visit.
